Type S Performance
The biggest upgrade for the Acura MDX Type S is found under the hood: an exclusive 24-valve, DOHC, 3.0-liter V-6 engine aspirated by a twin-scroll turbocharger. The potent powerplant produces 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, while the quick and responsive 10-speed automatic transmission has been re-engineered to accommodate the engine's extra torque. A Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ system with torque-vectoring provides enhanced handling and inclement-weather control.
The standard Acura MDX is remarkably athletic for its size. But the Type S further improves agility by building on the model-specific platform with a performance-tuned chassis, double-wishbone front suspension, an Adaptive Damper System, and adjustable air suspension. The Integrated Dynamics System provides seven selectable driving modes, including a Type S-exclusive "Sport+" setting and a new "Lift" mode that allows you to increase ground clearance on demand by up to two inches. The Type S 21-inch wheels are wrapped in performance tires, and large Brembo front brakes help keep the MDX's upgraded power under control.

A 12.3-inch Acura Precision Cockpit™ digital gauge cluster lets you customize the display to your preferences, providing safe and convenient access to helpful information like turn-by-turn navigation, infotainment details, driver aid status, and more. In the center stack, a 12.3-inch HD Display includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless access to smartphone features like hands-free calls and messages, Google and Apple Maps, streaming music, and much more. And it's all controlled by Acura's intuitive and innovative True Touchpad Interface.
